It is a thumb rule to control inflation, bank rate to be increased, so that extra money should be deposited in the banks and make lending expensive. But this is oil inflation, is this possible to decrease oil inflation by increasing bank rate. This is all useless. Oil inflation can be controlled only by increasing oil supply.
