@foxweather: BYE, BUOY 🚁🌊: After spending more than a month stranded on Dewey Beach, a roughly 12,000-pound navigational buoy was finally airlifted away by a Coast Guard CH-47 Chinook helicopter. The buoy washed ashore during a powerful, multi-day nor’easter in late September that battered the East Coast with damaging winds, flooding, huge waves and severe beach erosion, leaving the buoy stranded on the beach and turning it into a temporary local landmark. #foxweather #weather #delaware #deweybeach #buoy #noreaster #coastguard #chinook #helicopter

Local radio announced them next to the cinema schedule. In 1989 a poet helped start the protest on national TV. The test site closed on 29 August 1991, exactly 42 years after the first bomb. About 1,410 nuclear warheads were left in Kazakhstan. By 1995 every one of them had gone to Russia. Since 2019 the world's emergency stock of nuclear fuel uranium sits in Öskemen.
