@bennydartist: I made this animatic with the thought of how Jae will reminisc about Datu once he has to leave his home and Datu to travel with the avatars. (This animation was started before the release of ep 8 and 9 where nisha and Pavi get split up so I thought they would all leave together. Though that might not be the case!!) Here is my take on the whole Datu and Jae situation within the fandom. I hate how Date is portrayed as this “villain” that kinda took away Jae because everyone wants him to get with Deamin. Now I do love some relationship drama in a series and I am so down for Jae and Deamin, but I just don’t like how people talk about Datu. Like the guy has done nothing wrong yet nobody wants him and Jae to be together?? Seems kinda weird to me. I just don’t want to see another brown character get trown to the side if Jae and Deamin where to become something. And just for that reason alone I will be a Jae and Datu defender!!! My boy Datu deserves some respect, that’s a sweet and hard working boy who is literally getting lied to by his partner. #avatarsevenhavens #jae #datu #atla #avatar

Thanks for the caption btw I've seen so many things people say to Datu just bc he's Jae's partner and bc they want Jae to be with Daemin. Unfortunately, because of people like that I hate Jaemin sm and they've also made me less tolerant of Daemin. I wish it weren't like that, but even receiving comments like that on my videos isn't funny. Before, I only liked Datu a little, but with everything that's happened, I've grown very fond of him. I'll always defend him, and Jae and Datu's relationship too
