@taxtok_tu: You’ve got to be kidding! 🤬 New Zealand’s 10-year Government bond yield is around 4.9%, not 1–2%. Yet apparently, that’s what the Greens were working with until just a couple of hours ago. Their plan relies on borrowing to fund their promises, but getting the interest rate wrong could leave taxpayers facing a much bigger bill. Interest rates aren’t something politicians can simply laugh away. But go on, chuckle along. It’s only our children’s futures you’re borrowing against. 😡
