"A Sky Full of Stars" is the euphoric, EDM-infused stadium anthem that provided a massive burst of light at the end of Coldplay's deeply melancholic 2014 album, Ghost Stories. Co-written and co-produced by the late electronic music legend Avicii, the track is a masterclass in blending Coldplay’s signature soaring piano rock with heavy, pulsating house beats. The song explores the profound, overwhelming experience of unconditional love—comparing a partner to a brilliant, endless night sky that guides you through the dark. It marked a massive sonic shift for the band, dominating global charts and proving they could command a dancefloor just as powerfully as a rock arena. The official music video perfectly translates this massive, joyful energy. Filmed on the streets of Sydney, Australia, it features frontman Chris Martin marching through the city wearing a one-man-band suit, gradually gathering an enormous, joyous crowd of fans as the rest of the band joins in. The unscripted, community-driven aesthetic beautifully matches the uplifting, festival-ready production. A decade later, "A Sky Full of Stars" remains one of the most explosive moments of any Coldplay live show. It is a timeless, flawlessly executed crossover hit that practically guarantees a massive shower of confetti and a roaring singalong the moment that piano riff begins. #coldplay #coldplayconcert #askyfullofstars - @redssss907
