I think it’s important to read in the actual article the director said he’s been working on the project for years and it’s gone back and forth between YA and Sci Fi Epic, and that he’s been pushing for it to be a movie so they can do a more Sci Fi Epic with the budget and cinematic experience it deserves.

define YA , because YA, per google 🤣 is 12-18, but I would say that it depends on the context of the book, I would say this is 16+ series. I wouldn't call it YA.

The first book is literally categorized as a young adult book lol. Plus being whipped is pg13. Especially if they show a bit of it then just the noises. They’re allowed to use suggestion and context to do a lot of the scenes. If Pierce allows it I trust it. He made 6 great book without all you guys in his ears, so trust him like we always have

Everyone saying RR is a YA book must not have read the same book 😂. The publisher even has RR marked as Adult Fiction, idk why the YA thing is a thing lol. Trying to make this a YA style movie would be such a disservice.
