I'm old, old, so I remember Madonna's VMA performance of Like A Virgin at the very 1st VMAs, I was a little girl, & didn't even know what a virgin was, but I remember the adults basically being stunned at the performance.

sometimes I really envy Taylor's blind confidence lol. remember when she went on Fallon and sat there passionately mouthing the words and dancing in her seat to clips of all the showgirl songs? her swaying and bopping to Patient Zero on stage at the VMAs felt like that, and I was just like damn, she is so unafraid to go all in on herself 😂
