Prozac is an every day daily med. Propranolol is prescribed to be used as-needed for anxiety. They do different things.

I also take propranolol for heart health and my doctor told me it’s often prescribed to treat anxiety as well because it can help manage the physical symptoms (fast heart rate, shaking, sweating, etc). I agree it’s bizarre that beta blockers are “trendy” now.

I take it for both purposes, sorta. I am very physically sensitive/responsive to stress. My heart rate gets way too high. And it truly works like a charm to bring both down. I will feel physically ill from stress, fast heart rate, nausea, racing thoughts…pop my meds and in 20 min im chill as a cucumber. Love that stuff.
