65% of chinas gdp comes from private for profit companies nothing communist about that, huaweis concept is unique and cool although more complicated than you suggest, you have to buy in so it's like more like a opportunity to invest, in theory you could lose money being part owner

the CEO only own 2% of Huawei, rest is worker owned and they voted to invest up to 60%+ into R&D Intel and co are about 3 to 5 percent, the rest goes to the short gain shareholders, they are never gonna catch up
