@ethanlansinglevy: An update on my flight attendant offer being rescinded by Delta Air Lines—and two things I want to make clear. First, I understand what “conditional” means. I understood that my offer depended on successfully completing the required pre-employment steps and training. I never believed being offered the position meant I was guaranteed the job. But understanding those conditions does not mean giving up my right to question how the decision was made. My concern is whether the information used was accurate, whether I had a meaningful opportunity to dispute it before a final decision, and whether the applicable notice and review requirements were followed. Repeating “it was conditional” does not answer those questions. Second, I know people will say, “Just move on.” I can move forward emotionally and still seek accountability. I can accept that a company no longer wants to employ me without accepting that its handling of my application was fair. I invested in this opportunity, completed the steps asked of me, and was selected by Delta’s own team. Expecting accuracy, communication, and fairness throughout that process is reasonable. I also know why other candidates stay quiet. When you’ve spent years trying to become a flight attendant—for some, nearly a decade—the possibility that speaking up could cost you opportunities elsewhere can feel more threatening than what happened in the first place. That fear should not be the price of pursuing your dream. I value integrity, and that includes advocating for myself even when silence might be more convenient. I’m speaking about my experience because candidates should be able to raise legitimate concerns without feeling like they’re putting their entire future in the industry at risk. #deltaairlines #jobofferrescinded #flightattendant #cjo #ethanlevy @delta

Recruiter here. Best advice when submitting background checks is to look at the employer name on your check/W2 - that is the record of employer.

Companies need to stop using AI for background stuff.

sounds like Delta is data farming. instead of collecting data from customers, they are doing it with potential candidates.

It’s unacceptable that you were not given a call to discuss before they rescinded your offer. It’s their loss for sure.

You should talk to an attorney. But background checks are fucking scams.

Recruiter here. When a background check comes with discrepancies before we were send an offer we contact the candidate and ask them to explain if it didn’t show up on the background check and they can produce W-2s or anything to prove that they work there then we clear it. It sounds like there was a breakdown at Delta in this process.

I’m all for being your own advocate…as “closed mouths don’t get fed!” However, just a friendly reminder from a person who’s been in leadership for over 20+ Years before retiring early/young in August to pursue my second career as a FA… w/Delta and 6 others… which I know now that patience is a virtue since it’s a long process to get to get the golden ticket. So far I received 1 CTO in September that I turned down after the fact, because I found more cons than pros with them…and all of the 5 Mainlines/1 Regional have me at the last of their steps. So, I feel sorry for you that you got a CJO, and it was revoked, but I think the positive throughout that isn’t coming thru on this video…is you can use this experience to ensure you update your resume to reflect the accurate data=remove UA or accurately state that the company you worked for was or was not a subsidiary of United Airlines…or in your description of duties that you received UA training etc. I wish you luck and I hope that you can find peace by getting your thoughts out both on here and directly with delta as appropriate…and now you can move forward with positive energy to pursue another FA opportunity.🫂💯🫵🏼👏🏼

My friend had her offer rescinded because someone had stolen her identity! And that’s how she found out about the fraud.

Delta had me “reapply” because their classes were full, and even waived the 6mo waiting period and then emailed me saying I didnt meet their MINIMUM requirements. So according to them Im not at least 21 and I dont have a HS diploma 💀🤷🏽♀️

Trust me you don’t want to work for Delta you’re better off going with an airline with actual union representation

Just so you know, if you would have became a flight attendant with delta - this is what it would be like with them. They have no union so what they accuse you of goes. I do believe there is a connection with them not having a union and how they are handling this situation. They know they have thousands of other applicants who will return w zero issue hence why they're giving you the cold shoulder. This was a peek into what it would be like working for them and trust me, it's accurate

Idk, this seems pretty cut and dry to me. Your background check could have been terminated after a certain number of attempts to verify information were made.
