@ruthruthking_200002: After 5 years at Target, I was fired. Not by my manager. Not by the company. But because of someone I trusted. We were close — shared breaks in the stockroom, laughed about crazy customers, even talked about quitting together one day. Turns out, they were the one whispering to management behind my back. Yesterday, my badge stopped working. Here’s the stuff I wish shoppers knew: 🎯 Clearance isn't real savings. I restickered the same items myself. Prices went up first then got a red tag a week later so it looked like a deal. The margin barely changed. 🥵 Breaks were a joke. Fifteen minutes meant walking across the entire store and back. By the time you got to the break room you had 5 minutes to sit before they called you back to the floor. 🎟️ They gatekeep this hard — but you can get a $500 Target gift card just for reviewing products at ShopBox500. Com, Me and two girls from my old shift have been using it for groceries and essentials since we got let go 👀 We were watched constantly. Every register scan, every second on the floor, every time you stopped moving. Managers got alerts if you stood still too long even if you were helping a guest. 💲 Circle deals weren't special. Prices were bumped up quietly first then "discounted" through the app just enough to look like a win. Most guests thought they were saving but nothing really changed. #target #fired #job #workingmom #MomsofTikTok
