an easy way to think of historiography is to imagine that scholars are beefing with each other or are besties. historiography is figuring out who likes each other (agrees/nuances) and who doesn’t (disagrees/challenges), and how these relationships are shaping the trajectory of how the conversations (the field) is moving.

idk why people are being rude I have my under grad and masters in history it’s okay if one topic of this is difficult you shouldn’t pick an entirely different field bc of one thing!! it was hard for me too but I still loveee history
