This happened at one of my sons parties. The boys mom brought all 6 of his siblings. I told her absolutely not. She was not happy and tried to "settle" things outside. 🤦♀️🙄

I am a twin, I was taught at a young age that I was not automatically included when another kid invited my sister to a party...I didn't necessarily attend, either. I had my own group of friends and she had her own group of friends. sometimes I was invited as well, but my parents made others known that we were not a package and you could invite one and not the other. didn't hurt my feelings one bit

I have 7 kids, I only take whoever was invited to the party. the rest stay home. the invitation was to 1 person/child, not the entire entourage.

I have 4 kids and if 1 is invited I ASK if my other kids can come if not then the 1 just goes. However if my other kids are welcome to come they each bring a present as well.

I always disliked when parents asked to bring siblings. Saying no might mean the invited child won’t attend. Every child event I’ve ever planned is paid per a certain number or by headcount. I cannot afford to pay for every guest’s siblings. Stop asking parents and stop assuming siblings are invited. Or if you do bring siblings offer to pay up front or don’t ask. That’s all.

As a mom, I try to pay for all kids. But, that is generally pizzas and snacks. In a situation like this, that mom should take care of her 2 kids. They were not invited. 10 meals for the kids invited. Siblings were not invited.
