@departamentofhomeland: ⚠️Homeland Security Investigations special agents in Houston issued a warning Oct. 8 cautioning attorneys to beware of a scam that’s on the rise where the fraudster poses as prospective clients and also as the opposing party of a legal matter. The fake opposing party sends a large check to the attorney pretending to resolve the fake client’s legal dispute. Then, the fake client requests part of the funds from the attorney.
