She pursued a career in journalism and television, eventually becoming an on-air reporter in Philadelphia. From the outside, she appeared to have a successful career and an independent life. But behind the scenes, she was facing personal struggles, including a difficult divorce and the challenges of raising two daughters as a single mother. Then something extraordinary happened. ✨ THE MOMENT THAT CHANGED HER LIFE One afternoon, while vacuuming her living room in Minnesota, Meisha experienced what she described as a profound spiritual encounter. She saw what appeared to be two bright suns in the sky and felt a powerful prompting to kneel and pray. At that time, she barely knew how to pray. Yet this experience awakened in her a desire to know God. She began praying, reading the Bible, and seeking answers. What did the early Christians believe? How did the Church understand the teachings of Jesus before the many Christian denominations existed? As she continued investigating the history of Christianity, her search led her to the Catholic Church. She discovered a faith rooted not only in Scripture but also in the historical life, worship, and teachings of the Church established by Christ. The more she studied, the more she recognized the Catholic faith as the home she had been searching for. In 2019, Meisha was received into the Catholic Church. Her journey did not end with her conversion. She continued her theological studies, earning a master's degree in sacred theology in 2022 and pursuing further formation in Catholic ministry. 🔥 A CONVERSION THAT INSPIRED HER FAMILY Meisha's conversion also became a powerful witness to the people closest to her. Her mother, Dian, entered the Catholic Church in 2021 after hearing her daughter's story and learning more about Catholicism. Her father, Paul, was also baptized, and other members of her family began their own journeys toward the Church. What began with one woman's unexpected encounter with God became an invitation for an entire family to explore the Christian faith. Meisha eventually served as director of pastoral care and adult faith formation at St. Joseph of the Lakes in Minnesota, helping others grow in their relationship with God.
