@mroffbeat_: Saw this Adobe Illustrator trick online a couple of times and finally tried it myself. I had to share it. Normally when you’ve got a list of items, like the details on a business card, you end up aligning each one by hand. Nudge it, check it, nudge it again, and then repeat the whole thing every time something changes. There’s a better way. Use Object on Path in Adobe Illustrator. Put your items onto a path and Adobe Illustrator keeps them lined up for you. You can slide them along it, move them around and change the layout, and everything stays tidy without you aligning anything manually. For business cards, contact details, icon rows, menus and anything else that’s a list of items, it saves a surprising amount of time. And because it’s so easy to adjust, it makes testing different layouts much less painful. This is one of those Adobe Illustrator tips and tricks that makes you wonder how long you’ve been doing it the slow way. Credit to the creators who showed it first. Go and try it on your next layout.
