1. The power to weight ratio is above 1.0 in newer ones 2. It has more hard points… 3. It does NOT even cost more than an F35??? Also the maintenance cost is ridiculously low, so don’t even try to cut corners talking about cost 4. The range IS better than a mig 29s 5. That’s not even right. Also the ‘maintenance’ is very easy to do considering how engineered the gripen is.

The gripen doesn’t need the range of a mig 29, and is cheeper to maintain than a hornet

Thrust to weight ratio is above 1 btw. Gripen E costs less. The cost per flight hour is 4700-8000 dollars depending on conscript vs depot upkeep, whilst the f35 cost between 30000-33300 dollars per hour. The gripen is engineers to perfection, was the first fully digitalised production fighter and beats every plane in simulated training events. Even beating multiple f-15, f-16

While the Gripen may be more expensive to buy, it's still cheaper to maintain. Takes less time to maintain, and it's designed for what Sweden needs.

the gripen is lit proven to be way more cost efficient, the gripen costs I think around 8000 dollars per hour while an F-35 costs between 30 and 45 thousand dollars per hour, also the gripen was designed to be very easy to maintain like the viggen, I dont know if it breaks down often but it is VERY easy to repair it, also the thrust to weight ratio is 1,25 on a gripen E with the lightest config and with the heaviest around 0,98 I think, not a very big difference from the F-16.

cost per unit may be higher but upkeep, storing and allat costs are lower so in the end it costs way less then an F-35

the gripen costs 60-85m per unit depending on the model. the F-35 costs 92-121m per unit based on model so youre just lying on that front. the practical limits of an f-16s payload are nearly identical being about 15,200lbs 6,895 kg or but has a 'Theoretical' maximum of about 20,450lbs or about 9,275kg.
as for the thrust to weight youre only technically correct but that is for the older D variant which uses an older less powerful engine that has a TWR of 0.97 whereas the new E/F variants have a 1.04 TWR

you know that the gripen is made to defend airspace, not for attacking missions, its job is to be in the air quickly

The Gripen is an absolutely optimal jet for Swedens needs and Swedens other infrastructure, i mean it’s a strict defensive airspace jet, a Gripen with its individual radar, receiving all the needed data from grounded radars and sensors aswell as air support has historically been able to beat any airplane in war games, and that’s just being lenient, the Gripen has actually been reported to trade F16s 1 to 3 and F15s 1 to 4 in war games, and that wasn’t even in its defensive airspace
