This expulsion process is set to begin on November 1st. However, the Pakistani government intends to implement a visa arrangement for individuals falling into four specific categories: 1) families with children currently enrolled in educational institutions; 2) patients undergoing treatment for cancer; 3) businesspeople with investments or operations in Pakistan valued at 5 million (50 lakh) Pakistani rupees; and 4) civil society activists, journalists, former military personnel, and other individuals who relocated to Pakistan following the collapse of the Republic—particularly those with active cases involving the UNHCR (or similar entities) who perceive their lives to be at risk if they return to Afghanistan. The government of Pakistan aims to facilitate visa access for these four categories.
