UNITED WE STAND. DIVIDED WE FALL. At some point, we have to stop believing everything that’s being put in front of us on television and social media and start getting out, observing, asking questions, learning, and thinking for ourselves. Hate and negativity are being displayed and amplified so much that sometimes we forget how much good still exists in this world. But let me ask you something… Why do we keep turning a blind eye to hate simply because it hasn’t reached our front door? Just because it hasn’t affected your family doesn’t mean it isn’t affecting somebody else’s. We cannot keep waiting until tragedy knocks on our own doors before we decide to stand together. We have families, children, communities, and generations coming behind us. We should be looking out for one another, speaking up, lending a hand, educating ourselves, and choosing to be part of the solution. WE ARE CONNECTED. Every single one of us has a purpose. Every single one of us has a gift. But where and when are you going to use yours? How do you fit into the puzzle? You cannot keep waiting on somebody else to make a difference when you have something inside of you that could help change somebody else’s life. We’re being affected one family, one community, and one situation at a time. How much more do we have to witness before we realize that what affects one of us can eventually affect all of us? What will it take for you to wake up? I’m not asking you to live in fear. I’m asking you to live with awareness, compassion, courage, and purpose. Let’s stop working against one another and start working WITH one another. Let’s make kindness louder. Let’s make love visible. Let’s make helping one another normal again. I believe we can change the motion of this world, but it starts with US. UNITED WE STAND. DIVIDED WE FALL.
