@palm_vibz84: Did you know that Jack-o lanterns come from Irish folklore? In Ireland, they would originally carve into turnups to ward off wandering spirits. Come the 19th century when Irish immigrants arrived to the United States, they discovered pumpkins and decided to use the pumpkins to ward of the wandering spirits. Plus, it is much easier to carve out a pumpkin then it is a Turnip ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
