I think you just keep hoping things will change and you just keep giving chances over and over, when all the time God is giving you signs and you chose to ignore them. Even though God gave us every sign possible He also gave us free will to make the choice. Instead of choosing God we chose what we wanted thinking we could change them. It's hard to trust God sometimes when we want something so desperately. But not listening can lead us to years of heartbreak. So maybe we need to not only listen to the One who loves us dearly but to actually do what He is saying to do. It is one of the hardest things to do, to follow Him but if we do the blessings are beyond our comprehension! All we can do is take it one day at a time, one step at a time with our eyes fixed on Him and our ears opened to hear His word and trust He will help us through!

Faith :
We try to make leaving sound Scriptural in every case but it loses its power when we hold it up to the light of Scripture. We can’t ignore the Book of Hosea or even God Himself from Genesis to Revelation continuing to pursue a people who are not loving to a most deserving God.
