This affectionate, people-loving girl is happiest when she’s close to her humans and soaking up all the attention she can get. Cali’s foster families report that she’s fully potty trained, crate trained, sleeps peacefully through the night, and knows “sit” and “down.” She loves belly rubs, cuddles, toys, and a good game of fetch or tug! Cali is a strong, energetic girl who can pull hard on leash and may get overstimulated around other dogs, so she’ll benefit from someone who can continue working on her leash skills and help her channel that enthusiasm. They were cuddling. 09/25: Atempted to move both dogs to new kennel, neighbooring dog was acting reactive and Cali engaged with the behavior trough kennel door and attempted to redirect to Lily A1297672. Seperated 09/01: Easy Going, Good Manners, Good on Leash, Social (People), Loose/Wiggly Body, Love-Bug, Wants to Cuddle/Sniff, Solicits Pets, Wants to Play. Well behaved. Loves belly rubs. ;Wants to Cuddle;Solicits Belly Rubs;Love-Bug Cali is such a little love bug. Any time I would go down to pet her, she would immediately roll over for belly rubs. She was easy to leash up and pulled to get outside. Once outside, she calmed down and enjoyed sniffing around. She pottied immediately. She loved getting pets and treats. She knows sit. Her eyes are stunning and match her fur. I loved taking her out and thought she was a beautiful sweet pup! Playgroup Observation 05/31: This dog allows greets, engaged in on and off play, and explores yard. PG1-Social/DG-Dainty & Gentle 06/03: This dog is social, playful, and gives/allows greets. PG1-Social/DG-Dainty & Gentle 06/03: A1238187 Blue & A1289097 Cali cohoused 07/04: This dog is barrier reactive, gets overexcited, vocal, and hard to steer. PG2-Tolerant/No Playstyle 08/25: Still barrier reactive and has very high energy. Becomes overstimulated during play, can become hard to steer away. PG2-Tolerant/RR-Rough & Rowdy 09/30: This dog is still barrier reactive, has high-energy, gets overexcited during play, and is hard to steer. PG2 - Tolerant/RR - Rough & Rowdy Foster Notes 07/26: Foster states Cali is a sweet girl who is kid-friendly, fully potty trained, and only barks when she truly needs something (like when she accidentally shut herself in a room!). She sleeps peacefully through the night and has an affectionate personality (she loves hugs, kisses, belly rubs, and staying close to her people). She is also extremely loyal and and listens well to commands and does great when left alone, causes no damage when left out, and enjoys napping. 09/06: Cali spent five days in foster care and did very well with adults, strangers, and children, happily seeking out attention from people. She is potty trained, crate trained, knows “sit” and “down,” and enjoys squeaky toys, chewing, and potentially games like tug-of-war. Cali was not introduced to other animals during her stay and showed no behavior or bite concerns. Her foster noted that she is very strong and pulls hard on leash, so she would benefit from someone comfortable handling her strength and continuing to work on leash manners. They recommend a loving home where Cali can get plenty of attention.
