More entertaining: Villain Spike for sure. Hands down. But favorite Spike: Redemption Arc Spike. He’s a perfect embodiment of “I am not what happened to me” and “Just because this is the way things have always been doesn’t mean it has to continue to be this way.” He was a deeply loving and passionate dude before being turned. He knew who he was at the core of him, and after a TOP TIER villain era due to a life altering event (literal death and rebirth), he found a reason to fight to get back to his former self (Buffy). He didn’t accept that just because he had been turned into a monster that he had to stay one. So he sought out answers, traveled half way around the world, and was willing to die trying to return to his former self. He rewrote rules that had always been because he refused to be defined by what happened to him….And the fact that Joss was PISSED at this character development because spike was only suppose to be a one season villain and James Marsters played the character so well that Whedon was FORCED to write in this multifaceted character as a permanent role makes it soooooo much better 🥰.

I loved both sorry. But I felt besides Joyce and Dawn everyone was horrible to him. He unlike other vampires grew and changed. He is hos own vampire the rest are robotic. Spike is 1 in a trillion.
