I hope she is going to get better. But since she is a teacher who lives in DXB, they usually have good insurance that covers most of the things, not only emergency care for the baby. Also almost 500k dirhams in medical bills seems too much, but depends which hospital did she go to. Either ways, the family can request assistance and would be provided to them to cover the cost or reduce it. She will not be charged until and unless she leaves the hospital

what about travel insurance? and if she lived there she should have health insurance as it's legally required if you live there. While this is sad and devastating £100,000 really?!

🥺 if its an emergency like this and life threatening i don't think they should be allowed to charge especially over 100k 😳 i think the family as been through enough without a big fat medical bill for something thats beyond anyone's control

I was a teacher working in the UAE for many years. I had good medical insurance provided through my school company. Surely this would be the same for this lady. I pray that this lady pulls through. What an absolute tragedy.
