honey and lemon in warm water with ginger is brilliant and some paracetamol or dispirin helps

slice and dice a turnip into a saucepan and cover with brown sugar..leave overnight and drain the juice into a bottle and take like any cough medicne..old cure. worked on my sons croup years ago
