THE DARK HORSE OF THE KENGAN TOURNAMENT#Kenganashura #ohmatokita #kenganashuraedit #anime #Ashura Him and Kuroki are both considered the dark horse, but technically, Tokita was implied as the dark horse in the series, while Kuroki was consisered as the dark horse by fans since no one expected him to reign as the champion of the tournament, but on Tokita's perspective, a dark horse means everything about that person is unknown in terms of who they are or what skills they possess and no one is expecting him to win, those attributes points to Ohma rather than Kuroki, but the fact that kuroki won without anyone expecting it made him the dark horse from a meta-perspective. (I usually ignore questions regarding the captions I put, especially about the characters description I put since it should be obvious that the caption I put is lore wise rather than opinionated ones, just so I can avoid conflict between other people who have different opinions, that is why I tend to prefer putting captions base on lore wise as much as possible. I am already expecting comments that will say kuroki is the dark horse and not tokita, as much as I agree and understand why Kuroki is much more widely known as the dark horse, but I rewatched and reread the manga over many times right now and I can asssure you that canonically Tokita is the dark horse of the kengan tournament rather than Kuroki. If you are not convince or you are still gonna express your opinion, I would not mind that, but please do not fight about it. Majority of my comment section keeps on figthting on who is better and etc, and it is getting annoying in my part reading those comments. Watch the series again if my explanation is not enough, there is one specific episode that clearly mentioned that ohma is a dark horse in the tournament.)
