I must be unlucky but I’m not giving in . My main money is in 2 etfs which have dived . Few single shares that not doing good. Was £1000 up last month now £1000 down nearly. It’s a big shift. In for the long game so I will continue to use my isa allocation next year.

Salary sacrifice into works pension. I put in 10%, work match it too (10% free money). Choose what you are investing in within this, the default funds are too conservative. So money going in which I've paid no tax or NI on. Also invest into Stocks and Shares ISA (I've done this so I can bridge the gap from 54-57 before I can access my SIPP). Whatever your strategy just BUY

I buy each day for just this reason. The best way for me to do this and not worry about noise or up and down etc is to invest a small amount daily rather than larger weekly or big Monthly amounts. It may or may not be best for results but it keeps me investing no matter what and I’m at peace with the lows and highs.

Read the psychology of investing, get hold of the 2 emotions that run investing, Greed & Fear, learn what type of investor you are and no longer sell in fear and hold to long out of greed!

Yes it’s time spent in the markets that matters- not timing

I’ve just started! Doing £250/300 a month. I have shares in Amazon, Eli Lilly and the S&P500 … I’m doing this for retirement so I am ignoring it but Is there any other advise on stocks?

This 💯, I buy daily, not huge amounts but still invest every day in some capacity

7 of the 10 best-performing stock market days over recent decades occurred within two weeks of the market's 10 worst days. So timing the market is impossible. Just put money in on a regular basis from an early age. It's really that simple.
