Well to say today was one of the hardest days of my life would be an understatement. Today my grandmother passed away at 10:27 am. As a child it wasn’t easy growing up at times. My parents divorced at an early age and it was always just my dad and I. My dad worked swing shifts as I was growing up , so at a very early i was staying at home by myself a lot, sleeping at home alone, homework alone, dinner alone etc. my dad did the very best he could with what he had to work with and that was always good enough for me. I always had food, clothes and a home. Grandma was always there to help. Spent a lot of nights with her and grandpa. She always checked in on my, made me meals, made sure I was always good, even if it was just to have a simple conversation. She was always a strong women she worked extremely hard for the family growing up. The family dynamic will never be the same without her here. It was always fun to have her at my home and I would ask what she wanted to drink. She would always say she would take a cold beer❤️😂. She was a master of making Barbie clothes and and even better grandmother. We all have our faults and I def had more than my share growing up, but no matter what she never strayed away from me or gave up ever! Held her hand today after she passed, said things I needed to say to her, and told her I will always love her. She’s with grandpa now, no more pain no more hurt and that’s always I can ask for at the end of the day.
