my dad got sick this year. our family hasn't had to navigate something quite this difficult before as my parents have been in extremely good health. He was my fiancé still but I didn't have to ask him to show up as a good husband through all that 🥺 and now he is my husband and I had a pretty major surgery yesterday. Again, I didn't have to ask him to be a good husband. how someone shows up in these moments is all telling. I'm loved the way I love which is fiercely, especially when a person needs it most. 🥰

met me while going through the grieving of losing my dad and bestfriend, seen every emotion good and bad trying to heal, listened to my cry’s and saw my most vulnerable moment of the news of my mums diagnosis. He’s about to hold my hand and walk me through the toughest time of my life.. with the purest unconditional love..he’s my every reason to fight and become the best version of my self. He doesn’t know how much he has saved me in every way possible and I owe him the entire world. My sweet baby❤️

My fiancé’s dad passed suddenly at work in August. My dad passed away in 2021 (before I met my fiancè) from cancer. It was always so hard to describe to him what it was like to loose a parent. The only thing I could say to my fiancè the day his dad died was “I am so sorry you have to be part of this horrible club”. It sucks, but this post is so true

See my wife post this after I was paralyzed with Guillan barre syndrome last year (have made a near full recovery) and then our daughter had to have open chest surgery 5 months later at 15 months old (it went amazing and she is thriving) hits different.

My boyfriend stood by me when my mom was in the hospital with Covid and dying from Covid. I had mouth surgery while she was in the hospital. So I was recovering and not sleeping because she was in the hospital. She ended up passing away after 16 days in the hospital in 2021. He pulled me up and has held my hand these last few years. He got into a life altering car accident last year. We’re still fighting the lady and he’s still recovering. I’m holding his hand through this battle. We celebrate 14 years together this Friday November 6th.

This. Death, Infertility, traumatic pregnancy and delivery, medically fragile twins and now stage 4 cancer. I wouldn’t pick anyone else to walk this with. He’s my sun and together we have beat so many odds. Here’s to beating stage 4 cancer

This may sound ridiculous, but I think before a couple gets married I think they need to go through hard things in life and see how they get through them together first. It's easy to navigate life together while it's easy. What about when life becomes inevitably hard? When you're struggling to put food on the table? Burying a loved one? Finding a roof to put over your head? Managing an Illness? Navigating grief? Handling aging? Managing emergencies?
