Speaking about the late convicted sex offender, Trump then said: “I threw Epstein out of a club like 20 years ago because I thought he was a wackjob.” He also added that he was “totally exonerated from him”. In 2024, Trump denied being on Epstein’s plane. He was listed as a passenger on his private jet in an email released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) in 2025. His name on the flight record does not indicate wrongdoing. At the time, the DOJ said some files released "contain untrue and sensationalist claims" against Trump.
