When I was first eligible for Medicare, the advantage plans in Iowa were great. So I picked one and was very happy. The next year it wasn’t as good but ok, they is was terrible, so I switched to another plan. It too was ok. But then this year they canceled the plan. All of the other plans in Iowa really sucked, terrible high deductibles and the extra perks taken away. I am so thankful they canceled my plan and got out of the market. It allowed me to return to regular Medicare and get a gap policy without any underwriting. What a blessing. Be careful with Advantage plans and really understand what you are getting in to.

it only covers 80% you're responsible for 20% witch can wipe you out
