@lawofficesofgedneyhowe: In June 2025, DNA testing showed 40 of 44 Charleston restaurants tested were serving imported shrimp. Plenty of them were calling it local. We filed suit for the South Carolina Shrimpers Association. We named 25 restaurants. Six settled. The rest fought it, and a federal judge dismissed the case. So the shrimpers took it to the State House. As of this week, South Carolina has new protections designed to cut down on false local claims and protect our local shrimping industry. Rocky, Bryan, Craig, Stormy, and everyone else on the water: thank you for trusting me with this. You did the heavy lifting. I was glad to be in it with you. #ShrimpGate #local #Lowcountry #shrimp #lawyer
