@teresondupuy: You may always feel the animus to your anima because, in some ways, what you were feeling was your own energy. You may have felt it before you ever met him. You felt it when you met him. And you may still feel it long after the relationship changed or ended. That does not automatically mean you are supposed to keep holding onto the person. Maybe part of the work is recognizing that the energy you experienced through them also exists within you. They activated it. They reflected it. They gave it a face. But they were never the sole source of it. So maybe you do not need to destroy the connection. Maybe you do not need to force yourself to stop feeling. Maybe you simply need to come to terms with what remains. Love the energy. Release the person. Let the love become yours again. Let the longing become creativity. Let the connection become wisdom. Let what they awakened in you become part of your own wholeness.
