@nssastronomy2: Panspermia is the hypothesis that life, or the building blocks of life, may have originated beyond Earth and been transported through space by meteorites, comets, or cosmic dust. Some scientists suggest that microorganisms could travel between planets or even star systems under the right conditions. Evidence that rocks can travel between planets does exist. Meteorites such as ALH 84001, discovered in Antarctica and originating from Mars, demonstrate that material can be ejected from one planet and reach another. In 1996, researchers proposed that this meteorite contained traces of fossilized Martian microbes. However, this interpretation remains controversial and has not been confirmed, as the features can also be explained by non-biological processes. Despite these findings, there is currently no conclusive evidence that life on Earth came from space, and the panspermia hypothesis does not explain how life first originated. #universe #space #Astronomy #cosmos #melodysheep

Panspermia theory does not really help much with the abiogenesis problem. It merely shifts the issue onto another planet and makes things more difficult.

Ugenejenkins :

Life in general just doesn’t make sense ? When did the start of creation begin ? If there is a god what came before him , and before him , and before him ?

bluetakis :

what ab game theory

Spacens :

In my opinion, this is the most reasonable version of the origin of life on the Earth.

whatever what was in the water

hudson :

it was just one random cell that started as a bubble of fat and that became everyone

I mean to me it’s the highest and most realistic possible way we got to become who we are now. We’re genuine aliens, not a single other macroorganism can adapt like we can, is fully conscious, and the only humanoid creature on the planet with an abundance of life

𝘑𝘢𝘤𝘬 :

Technically when theia crashed into earth billions of years ago, it caused Earth to have the conditions we know of today. So in a sense yes, life did come from space 😁 without theia crashing into earth we wouldn’t be here. Earth used to comeplete one rotation after 6 hours, until theia slowed it down. If that didn’t happen, Earth would have winds of over 200km/ph and life could still have existed, but it would be microbial.

its a theory

Even if it’s true the question is how life really start because another organism must come from other organism

lighterman :

Well earth was formed in space like all planets and shit so yeah life came from space
