@thedamonharrison: Getting clean and sober taught me something I never expected. It wasn’t just about quitting drugs and alcohol. It was about growing up emotionally. ❤️ I had to learn how to FEEL my emotions instead of escaping them, stuffing them down, or reacting to everything around me. And you don’t have to have struggled with addiction to understand this! So many of us are responding to today’s circumstances through yesterday’s wounds. Especially as caregivers, when we’re tired, overwhelmed, or frustrated, those old emotional patterns can come right to the surface. But here’s the good news: We can learn new ways of responding! Pause. Recognize what you’re feeling. Ask yourself why. Then choose how you want to respond. That’s part of healing our soul and renewing our minds. You don’t have to let every emotion become a reaction. Have you ever heard the term emotional sobriety? How can I pray for you today? God loves you, and I love you! ❤️#caregivercheckin #emotionalhealth #godlovesyou #selfgrowth #caregiversupport
