Sukuna and Yuuji are such an interesting topic to me Sukuna constantly dehumanizes himself. From his earliest years of life he's been deemed a curse and as he said, an unwanted little wretch. All of his life he's never been seen as a human, it was always either a curse, a god or a calamity. Sukuna separates himself from humanity. Because if he's not a human, he can justify his philosophy, he can justify his actions. Love is worthless to him because if he can't love them he cannot be hurt. Yuuji is similar at first. He thinks of himself as a cog, just something that is a part of the jujutsu society meant to destroy curses. Yuuji's humanity ends when the need arises. If he's not human then Yuuji can push to save as many people as possible, without the need to care for himself. Yet Yuuji realizes that he's wrong. He's not just a cog, he's a living, feeling person. Humanity is Yuujis greatest strength. The love for people pushes him to save others. It's one of the reasons Sukuna seems to hate him so much. Yuuji was able to look past his previous philosophy, acknowledge that he was wrong and that by dehumanizing himself he gains nothing. Yuuji is able to be pushed down many times over and yet he always manages to get back up and remain kind. Sukuna isn't able to do that. He's bitter and angry at the world for rejecting him and yuuji knows it. Yuuji, despite seemingly trying to let go, can't help but humanize Sukuna. Because at the end of the day, Sukuna is very much human. Yuuji knows that and wants to reach him, he tries to understand. Despite everything that Sukuna did, Yuuji puts it upon himself to show Sukuna what it means to be loved unconditionally. Yuuji is willing to abandon jujutsu society, his friends and most likely become wants for execution again just to have Sukuna by his side. Anyway I like them a lot and I wish more people talked about them 😛😛 #jjk #jujutsukaisen #itadori #sukuna #digitalart
