The only black history they are taught is anti-black.

We are not allowed to experience any human emotions: joy, happiness, sadness, success, power, pride, pain, trauma... it's exhausting 😒

It’s crazy how they aren’t required to learn our history at all but we learn it from a very young age. I was in a summer program and they took our whole group (ages 8-15) to the library to watch the original Roots and it had been around my 3rd time seeing it by that age.

when I moved to El paso you see the phrase El paso strong everywhere on businesses and stuff and it started after a white supremacist did a mass shooting at a Walmart there so i was really confused at how it was a joke. it wasn't a joke when it happened to yall but our trauma is funny

You might like my book Resurrecting the Black Body: Race and the Digital Afterlife. I talk a lot about how Black folks’ pain is ignored and diminished. 🖤

They so worried about using old methods of torture against us that we’ve found mitigation and recovery strategies for !!! Their communities have not formed any and have forgotten their struggles completely!!!!
