The product stays in the container. Remove the old label first. One container should have one current label. Stacking dates creates confusion. Make it readable. If somebody has to decode your handwriting, the label has already failed. And this is what makes FIFO actually work: Older product forward. Newer product behind. Good labeling supports organization, stock rotation, traceability, food safety, and smoother handovers between shifts. It takes a few seconds to do properly - and can save a lot of confusion later.
