@cbsnews: A tanker truck narrowly avoided being struck by an oncoming train after becoming trapped between lowered railroad crossing gates in Poznan, Poland. Another motorist rushed out of their vehicle and lifted one of the barriers, allowing the truck driver to escape just seconds before the train passed.

Not to mention these crossing gates are easy to break when you're "stuck" between them. They won't harm your car or anything, but people are still afraid of breaking them so they rather leave their car on rails and flee...
