Actually, if they could help to get the war with Iran stopped, since it was never sanctioned by Congress like it should have been, then that would go a long way toward lowering the gas prices and opening the Strait to tanker traffic again. A balance of power is a good thing.

If Trump didn’t get his 2nd term, there would be no Iran war that drove up fuel and groceries, or import tariffs which was paid by US consumers and refunded to businesses later. So yes it could have been lower.
