Your comment section is proof too many need to get into their bibles and stop being led by man’s understanding and start relying on the Holy Spirit to guide them. I don’t care what denomination you are, attacking each other over interpretations is doing nothing but allowing satan to divide God’s church. Jesus was crucified because he truthfully claimed to be God in front of the Jewish religious leaders. Due to Roman occupation they couldn’t perform capital punishment so they gave Jesus over to Pilate. Pilate also didn’t find anything wrong with Jesus. Pilate not wanting to risk a riot in which if that happened Tiberius (a ruthless tyrant) would have executed Pilate for incompetence. So he ordered the crucifixion trying to save his own skin and avoid a riot.

he didn't cause an issue with the Romans he caused an issue with other Jews doing things wrong... the Jews the Pharisees specifically begged the Romans to take him out so their hands did not get dirty that is the actual historical factual context of how Jesus ended up on the cross... how does nobody realize that?!
