@stalkers.canada: Denis Fortin, the mayor of Saint-Antonin, Quebec, faces two criminal charges: sexual assault and armed sexual assault. The charges concern alleged incidents in August 2016 and January 2017, when Fortin was serving as a municipal councillor. He was arrested by the Sûreté du Québec in July 2026. Fortin temporarily stepped aside following his arrest but resumed his duties as mayor in September 2026, citing the presumption of innocence while awaiting trial.
