That’s why most of the countries that are agnostic or pantheist are progressive. Just look at China, they are prohibited to impose a religion to children until they reached 18. By that year, they can choose what religion to follow.

religion are men centered. morality is not equal on what it says on those books. god is not good because there is suffering. religious people are forced to be good because they are afraid of hell. lastly religion is holding us back.

this can get me cancelled, as someone na agnostic its not religion. Rather its the people themself. Coming from someone na who stayed in a STRICTLY CATHOLIC (school for ALLL BOYS na despite that our friars do not discriminate towards LGBTQ). I have a lot of gay friends in our times sa school ko na who aren't silenced by the religion, they're even encouraged to show and be who theybtruly are. So yes its not inherent to religion, but the ones preaching, and my friends and fellow alumni/schoolmates more than can attest as they weren't discriminated not to a single bit to be who they are and be encouraged by our capuchin ministry.

Ril na ril cuz wdym a religion can claim of being loving and accepting but unfortunately reality reflects the total opposite of it. It's just sad that there are people who condemn their selves just to fit other people's ideals and version of truth. Indeed, religion impedes development not only in aspect of science but the concept of being an actual human that has empathy and true understanding of the complexities of an individual.
