Have you checked out Plataforma? Its family owned and I think their rodízio is so much better than Fogo and they have super authentic items like chicken hearts

I think you need to go to Astoria. That has a lot of great Brazilian spots. NY Pao de Queijo, Copacabana, Favela Grill for all things meat, Rio Bonito, and Samba in Flushing.
