Yet preparation can feel painful when you cannot see what it is producing. There are days when you wonder how a season this quiet, this uncomfortable, or this prolonged could possibly lead to what God promised. You have obeyed, prayed, and remained faithful, and still the landscape looks unfamiliar. Take heart. God knows how to sustain you in places you would never have chosen for yourself. In the wilderness, the children of Israel received manna one day at a time. They had to learn to trust that the God who fed them today would remember them tomorrow. There is something deeply humbling about receiving enough for the next step when you would rather have provision for the entire journey. Perhaps this is where you are today—learning to follow without seeing the whole road. Bring your weariness to the Lord. You do not have to hide your questions to remain faithful. Let Him tend to the places where disappointment has settled, and ask Him for strength to obey what He has made clear. Guard your heart against allowing a difficult season to define your understanding of His goodness. Keep making room for prayer, gratitude, and wise counsel.
