I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid and I'm 33 talking to my doctor about maybe going on meds for it but we lost the ADHD diagnosis. now he wants me to go get a new diagnosis before any meds (which is fair) but now I'm scared that I've lived with so long that I mask and they won't diagnose me now that I'm an adult.

i was talking to my friend about how she got diagnosed with autism and she was like "oh hating loud crowds" as we were standing in a loud crowd and i was loosing my mind. this girl offered me her earplugs 😭

Oooh, the menu thing.... My workplace has a canteen where they serve fresh cooked meals for cheap, and the menu changes every day. They post the menu for the whole week every Monday. Yesterday was supposed to be pizza, I'd planned to get pizza, but I got to the canteen and found that they had changed the menu. No pizza. Day ruined.

One of the EARLIEST traits I had when it came to my audhd was toe walking. My dad once got really mad at me for it and said it'd shorten my hamstrings. He then proceeded to say "Do you wanna know how I know? Because I used to do the same". I must've been about 3, took him 12 years to finally get on the waiting list to be diagnosed

my dad struggled with depression and addiction for years... he was admitted to a psychiatric institution multiple times but no one could or would help him... later he took his own life... a few years later my therapist (who also saw my dad for a short time) said: but your dad was autistic, didn't you guys know that?? not one of the shrinks in psychiatric institutions saw that... I still wonder if it could've been helpful if my dad knew then and they could've helped him with it... I hate all those shrinks except my therapist... because of her I now know I'm AuDHD

I’m AuDHD I’ll look at the menu in advance, be stuck between 2 or 3 different options 1 being something that I will pick every single time from other restaurants, still not be able to decide once I get there and right at the last minute when the server asks me what I want I will panic and make the rash decision to order the same thing that I get EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
