I just looked him up on the roster, #12 is a junior. He should be banned from playing senior year. It's Steubenville though, they'll give him a very gentle tap on the wrist.

The most obvious question is, why? The other player was not in danger (emotionally maybe for getting a red card), the ref didn't have weapon, there was no sign of immediate danger that would cause confusion or panic, and the player dropped his shoulder for the tackle showing he knew what he was doing so he can't claim it was an accident. So the question remains is why?
