The architects mixed eight 20-storey blocks with three 7-storey ones, so you never feel boxed in. Now it's coming down. From 2028, the estate will be rebuilt in three phases over about 20 years. A lot of the residents are elderly, and some will spend the rest of their lives next to a construction site. Hong Kong protects fewer than 150 buildings by law. Choi Hung isn't one of them.
