I never owned a business. I worked for one. I chose to save/invest while living well below my means. Very early in my career, you’d call me frugal. While I was frugal, my friends were living large. Time and compounding happened. 3+ decades later, I chose to retire at 56. Today, I’m an 8 figure millionaire - due to my behaviors. Suddenly, however, I’m evil. I’m not a success story. I’m the problem. I hoard my money. I got to where I am because I was responsible and planned for my future. I never hurt, cheated or stole from anyone on the way.

I think it is more directed at Amazon, type of businesses that continue to show record growth but pay lousy wages and continue to layoff employees. It’s corporate greed, Not small businesses.

Oil companies made 130 billion in profit after the start of Iran war - before the war 20-47 billion. Thats the profits we are talking about. Not the small business owner.

im in flooring sales, and people expect to get full service from me, use our showroom, but want to pay home depot prices. we are a small business with 12 employees and overhead and have far superior products and customer service. its like they think we dont deserve to be paid for being the "experts" in our business.
