even if i know something isn’t real and happening in real life, the plot is supposed to be “real” (like the characters in the movie this is their real life”) and the thought of something sad happening to someone in a movie can make me emotional, and most of the times things that get me emotional in movies are also things that happen commonly in life that I find sad or unfair.
